【少年中風，至決心事奉神的經歷】創作意境

今次 BTTM 的故事，
取材自 Chris（麥德璋弟兄）真實的醫治見證。

Chris 自小學六年級起，
已在舊教會參與音樂事奉，
當時因只有他一人在教會裡彈琴，
曾自以為了不起。

中學時期的某日，他突然中風，
左手更因此無法彈琴。

人算不如天算，原來即使有才能，
也不一定能事奉神，
因為人的計劃可以隨時告吹。

他在鋼琴前傷心地哭、祈禱神：
「神啊，如果祢醫好我，
我願意一生以音樂事奉祢！」

神應允了他的禱告，
兩、三星期後，手指已完全康復能彈琴。

經此一事，及後來接觸到錫安，明白更多真理，
Chris反省到，事奉是不可自恃才能，
於是重新學習神喜悅的事奉心態。

至今，Chris 仍牢記著他的諾言，
全心事奉神，投入音樂事奉，
更成為錫安教會其中一名全職事奉者。

【From a stroke sufferer, to a servant of God 】

For this week’s BTTM, we have taken the remarkable testimony of healing from Brother Chris as the story for this song.

Ever since Brother Chris was in the sixth grade, he was already taking part in the music ministry for the previous church that he attended. Being that his role was the sole pianist, he harbored a strong sense of pride.

Unfortunately, on one fateful day during his high school years, he suffered a sudden stroke, rendering his left hand incapable of playing the piano.

As fate would have it, despite his musical talents, he was unable to use his gift to serve God.

Brother Chris cried at his piano and prayed to God “Lord if You would heal me, I vow to dedicate my life to serving You through music!”

God heard Brother Chris’ pleas through his prayers, and in the span of two to three weeks, Chris’ fingers were miraculously healed and managed to regain strength, and with that, he was able to play the piano again.

From this experience, and then at a later time, his introduction to the Church of Zion, helped to open his eyes to the Truth, Brother Chris realized the true meaning of serving God is more than just the measure of one’s talent. Chris embraced his newfound perspective and devoted himself to pleasing God in ministry.

To this day, Brother Chris continues to uphold his vow, he wholeheartedly serves God in the music ministry in the Church of Zion and is also a member of the full-time ministry.
