इंटरनेशनल डेस्क। फलस्तीनी शहर बेथलहम को ईसा मसीह (जीसस क्राइस्ट) के जन्म स्थान और ईसाइयों की सबसे पवित्र जगहों में से एक माना जाता है। यह येरूशलम (आज इजरायल की राजधानी) से 10 किलोमीटर दूर सेंट्रल वेस्ट बैंक में स्थित है। यहां मौजूदा वक्त में स्थित चर्च ऑफ नेटिविटी को ही ईसा मसीह का जन्म स्थान माना जाता है। ईसा के जन्म का समय AD 1 माना जाता है। यह जगह दुनिया के सबसे पुराने ईसाई समुदाय का निवास स्थान है। इसका आकार पलायन के चलते दिन-ब-दिन छोटा होता जा रहा है।
क्रिसमस सेलिब्रेशन
पश्चिमी देशों में मौजूद चर्चेज में क्रिसमस का सेलिब्रेशन इस साल 30 नवंबर से ही शुरू हो गया था, जो 25 दिसंबर तक चलेगा। पूर्वी देशों में स्थित चर्चों में क्रिसमस का सेलिब्रेशन 40 दिन लंबा होता है। वहां इसका जश्न 15 नवंबर से शुरू होता है। ग्रीक और सीरियाई ऑर्थोडॉक्स (रूढ़िवादी) 25 दिसंबर से ठीक 12 दिन बाद यानी छह जनवरी को क्रिसमस मनाएंगे। अर्मेनियम ऑर्थोडॉक्स लोगों के बीच क्रिसमस का जश्न 19 जनवरी को मनाया जाता है।
जन्म को लेकर धार्मिक मान्यताएं
धार्मिक महत्व के लिहाज से ईसा के जन्म को लेकर चार सिद्धांतों में से दो में इसके विवरण मौजूद हैं। पहले सिद्धांत यानी ‘ल्यूक एक्ट’ के अनुसार, ईसा का परिवार नाजरथ शहर में रहता था, जो लंबी यात्रा करते हुए बेथलहम पहुंचा था। यहीं ईसा ने जन्म लिया। परियों ने उन्हें मसीहा बताया, जिसके बाद ग्वालों का दल उनकी प्रार्थना के लिए पहुंचा।
दूसरे सिद्धांत यानी ‘मैथ्यू एक्ट’ के मुताबिक, ईसा का जन्म बेथलहम में हुआ था। उनके जन्म के बाद वहां के राजा हिरोड ने बेथलहम में दो साल से छोटे सभी बच्चों को मारने का आदेश दिया था, लेकिन ईसा का परिवार वहां से मिस्र चला गया। कुछ समय बाद वो नजारथ में बस गए। हालांकि, आधुनिक विद्वान इनके जन्म स्थान को लेकर आश्वस्त नहीं हैं। ‘गॉस्पेल ऑफ मार्क’ और ‘गॉस्पेल ऑफ जॉन’ ने इनके जन्म स्थान का जिक्र नहीं किया है, लेकिन उनका संबंध नाजरथ से बताया है।

It is located in the central West Bank, 10 kilometers from Jerusalem (today the capital of Israel). The Church of Nativity situated here at present is considered to be the birthplace of Jesus Christ. Christmas celebration
The celebration of Christmas in churches in western countries started from 30th November this year and will continue till 25th December. In churches located in eastern countries, Christmas celebration is 40 days long. There its celebration starts from 15th November. The Greek and Syrian Orthodox will celebrate Christmas on January 6, exactly 12 days after December 25. Christmas is celebrated among the Armenian Orthodox people on January 19.
Religious beliefs regarding birth
In terms of religious significance, its details are present in two of the four theories regarding the birth of Jesus. According to the first theory i.e. ‘Luke Act’, the family of Jesus lived in the city of Nazareth, after making a long journey to reach Bethlehem. It was here that Jesus was born. The fairies declared him the Messiah, after which a group of cowherds came to pray for him.
According to the second theory i.e. ‘Matthew Act’, Jesus was born in Bethlehem. After his birth, King Herod ordered the killing of all children under two years of age in Bethlehem, but Jesus’ family went from there to Egypt. After some time he settled in Nazareth. However, modern scholars are not sure about his place of birth. The ‘Gospel of Mark’ and ‘Gospel of John’ do not mention his place of birth, but relate him to Nazareth.
