Day 16, December 16th. Here I have a popular but very unusual carol from Germany that translates as ‘In Sweet Rejoicing’, it is a bilingual English/Latin carol, if you follow the English words you have a carol, likewise if you follow the Latin. Two carols in one in fact. In 1975, English musician Mike Oldfield turned it into a country dance and took it to number 4 in the charts that Christmas. Here’s Mike’s version:
