Hallmark 2023 Sing-Along Showman Snowman – 3 Songs
Here’s another thing I would’ve posted before Christmas, except I kinda forgot it existed 🤣. Between a new job, our Christmas vacation, and all the normal business that comes with the holidays, I completely forgot to order this guy until like a week before Christmas lol. Same thing with Gemmy’s remake spinning snowflake Frosty, which was sadly out of stock by the time I remembered I wanted to get one 😂. Luckily, these guys are still all over Amazon, and that’s where I got this one for $35. As you can see, they cut the discount price out of the snowman’s tag and left the “$39.99” lol.
Remember all the hate I gave to modern Hallmark snowmen this morning? I take (some of) it back- this is the first decent addition to the series in a long time. It’s still not something I would buy if I wasn’t trying to keep a complete Hallmark snowman collection, but considering the garbage they’ve put out the past few years, I’m impressed. They have already made a snowman playing a piano, which is kind of annoying, but they put their own unique spin on the concept this time (for once). And there’s no annoying little snow-kid! He has 5 alternating phrases, and sings 3 classic Christmas songs with their original lyrics rather than some dumb parody. The piano also lights up, which is both cool and stupid. I feel like those individual colored lights had a lot of potential. I know they’re kinda synchronized with the music, but not really lol, they’re mostly just flashing random colors at random times. It doesn’t really go with his plain and simple design. For $40, it would’ve been cool to have the lights programmed so they kinda “dance” to the music as Hallmark has done in so many items now. Not complaining, just an idea. Really my only complaint is with the audio quality itself. I obviously haven’t been inside of this to see for myself, but I assume they used a whole different kind of sound module to store all 3 songs and all 5 phrases. It sounds like those cheap Chinese items you can find all over Amazon that play like 20 songs lol. There are some other very minor flaws here and there if I was being super picky, but overall I’ll gladly welcome this guy into the Hallmark snowman family.
