O Jerusalem (Psalm 137 / Isaiah 62 & 40) | [LIVE] in English & Hebrew | For Glory & For Beauty

O Jerusalem (Psalm 137 / Isaiah 62 & 40)

This song was birthed in a place of prayer and awakening to the longing of God’s heart for His promises for Israel to be fulfilled.

We joined with 5 million people all over the earth on the Isaiah 62 fast for 21 days contending for God to raise up watchmen on the walls for Jerusalem. May this song add fuel to the fire of intercession being lifted up across the nations of the earth for the apple of His eye.

O Jerusalem (Psalm 137 / Isaiah 62 & 40)
Lyrics:

Verse:
By the rivers of Babylon
There we sat down and we mourned
O how we wept when we remembered Zion;
We hung our harps upon the willows
There those who carried us away captive
Saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”

Pre-Chorus:
How can we sing the song of the Lord in a foreign land?
How shall we sing a song of Adonai in a land far away?

Chorus:
If I forget you, O Jerusalem
Let my right hand forget its skill
If I do not remember you, O apple of His eye
Let the words of my mouth not be heard.

Pre-chorus (Hebrew):
Eich nashir et shir Adonai
al admat nechar
Eich nashir et shir Adonai be’eretz
rechoka?

Chorus (Hebrew):
Im eshkachech Yerushalayim,
tish’kach yemini
Im lo ezkerechi, bavat ei’no,
tid’bak leshoni le’chiki

Tag 1
We will not keep silent, We’ll give Him no rest,
Till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth;
For Zion’s sake, He’s not silent
For Jerusalem, He won’t rest,
Till the nations see her glory here on the earth.

Tag 2
“Comfort, comfort My people,
Speak to Jerusalem, cry out to her
You who bring her good tidings,
Go up to the mountain, lift up your voice
Say, “Behold your God! Behold your God! Behold our God!”

Tag 3
Daughter of Zion, your salvation is coming
You’re no longer forsaken, but redeemed of the Lord
Daughter of Zion, your salvation has come
You’re no longer forsaken, but redeemed of the Lord
You’re redeemed of the Lord, You’re redeemed of the Lord
For your Bridegroom is coming again
Your Bridegroom is coming
Your Bridegroom is coming
Our Bridegroom is coming again
