Thanks to his acquaintance with Till Lindemann, who played drums in the fun punk band “First Arsch”, Richard Kruspe from Schwerin joined the band and, after the first few years without a permanent guitarist, was considered the third member alongside Lindemann and Steve E. Mielke. In 1993, Richard Kruspe launched another band project in Berlin with his roommates Oliver Riedel, bassist in the band “The Inchtabokatables” and Christoph Schneider, drummer in “Die Firma”. This was initially given the name “Tempelprayers”. The three of them began to rehearse and compose their first songs and brought in Till Lindemann as singer and lyricist.

They successfully applied with their first demo recording to the “Metrobeat Musikpoll”, a specialist and, at the time, public event in which the 14 most original and popular Berlin bands were selected each year and allowed to present themselves at a festival. They received support from the Berlin Senate in the form of a professional recording session in a recording studio. There they recorded four German-language songs on February 19, 1994. According to Lindemann, the suggestion to sing in German came from the last two band members Christian “Flake” Lorenz and Paul Landers.

Paul Landers expressed an interest in joining the new band project of his own accord. He joined as rhythm guitarist – against Schneider’s initial resistance, who found him exhausting. Richard Kruspe and Till Lindemann, on the other hand, spoke out in favor of Landers. The band was still looking for a sixth member, a keyboard player. The preferred candidate of some was Christian Lorenz. However, he initially showed aversion to the new band. However, he later agreed to work with the band. The stylistic influence of “Feeling B” on Rammstein is considered considerable, although the band was conceptually different. This is why “Feeling B” is sometimes referred to as the “nucleus of Rammstein”.
