Sermon: Music for Peace
On this Music Sunday, we celebrate the ways in which music promotes peace, understanding, and justice. The Rev. Sarah C. Stewart preaching.
Today’s Music: This Sunday is our fall Music Sunday! Our adult choir will be sharing a complete performance of Felix Mendelssohn’s beautiful Psalm 42, “As the deer cries.” Maria Ferrante, Riuji Sato, Amanda Dings, James Haupt, Paul Dexter, Matt Ronn, and David Spanagel will all be featured vocalists. Madeline Browning, Wendy Ardizzone, and Noel Carey will perform during the prelude. Please join us for this beautiful musical exploration of anxiety, longing, and faith. James Haupt will be on piano and organ.
Faith Development: Neighboring Faiths will be learning all about Hinduism! In our Soul Matters class, we continue discussing Finding Our Center but keeping our balance while doing so!
